Intending Honours students
Honours scholarships
The department has made available scholarships of $5,000 for students in the 2012 Honours intake. All students with a 3rd year average of 85 or above will be guaranteed a scholarship. In addition, a limited number of scholarships will be offered to students with an average between 80-85. It is expected that at least eight (8) scholarships will be offered in 2012.
About the Honours year
The one-year departmental BSc Honours course consists of two components:
- course work which accounts for 50 units
- a research project and oral presentations accounting for 50 units
Entry is by merit. The Honours course is open to students with a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
