Travel support
Students enrolled for graduate degrees through the department are entitled to financial support to attend a conference during their candidature. Access to this funding requires the completion of a combined Travel Fund Request and Travel Insurance form.
The PhD committee
The PhD committee monitors the progress of individual students during their studies with the department. It is a mentoring committee which provides broad support for graduate students and extends the range of expertise available to them.
After the 6-month meeting, the 6-month meeting form should be completed and returned to Irene Koumanelis.
General information about enrolment and candidature
The School of Graduate Studies web site provides useful information to assist graduate students manage their candidature, whether toward a PhD or MSc degree.
It includes forms, a PhD calender to assist students and supervisors plan the stages of the research and writing up, and the process for completing a PhD.
The site provides answers to many of the questions that students may have in the later years of their candidature for which their supervisors may not have ready answers.
